Dr. Volk graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. In 2015, he moved to California to complete his Doctorate of Optometry degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, graduating with high honors.
Dr. Volk has extensive experience with fitting specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, co-management of ocular surgery patients, and clinical research. Throughout his studies and career, he has worked in a wide range of environments, including private practices, surgical clinics, and VA hospitals.
Dr. Volk is also the Director of Clinical Research at Innovega, a company working on augmented reality vision devices for both healthy and visually impaired patients. In the past, he has also served on the board for the San Diego County Optometric Society.
In his free time, Dr. Volk enjoys spending time with his friends and family, riding his motorcycle, producing music, and watching F1 racing.
